Photoshop has a quick selection tool, but it’s hidden. To access it, press “Ctrl+Q” (or “Command+Q”) to open the Quick Selection tool.

In Photoshop CC 2019, the quick selection tool is located in the Tools panel (Window > Tools).

To access the quick selection tool, press and hold the Shift key and click on the object you want to select.
